I am alive...I really am...really!
Since my last good grief post...I quit at the newspaper...$7.92/hour. Heavens, I was going backwards again. I am at a new job which I love. I work for a chef/chocolatier in a dessert shoppe. I am the front end manager/bulldog and I could'nt be happier.
I got married in July to Buster Brown and have it pretty damn good.
I joined a reletively new company - 3 years old- a jewelry company. Stella & Dot. Its higher end boutique style jewelry that has .925 silver, 14-18k gold plating, uses real stones, pearls and other metals. I now have 2 stylists under me and things are really running along.
I am also about to open a few new doors in the community too. I am founding an Arts Council and resurrecting the community theatre. I have the ball rolling already for the Arts Council and once that gets up and running then I will get cracking with the theatre.
I am about to head to the BIG city on Sunday for 3 days with 4 of my cousins. I plan to relax, have a few drinks and lots of laughs. While we are there, I am planning to go to the Poshy Hotel for food and drinks as I have been getting to know the chefs there through my work. Not sure what they have in store for us but...it should be good!

WOW!
Ok, so the Paw is officially and painfully over. The next play to be pulled off is this weekend at the seniors centre..."On Golden Pond".
I just came back from yet another year of theatre. The One act Festival called TheatreOne was held in Melfort over the weekend. 9 plays over 3 days. It was a great little mini vacation. I was able to stay with Peanut all weekend and was also able to hang out with Dave & Moe as well. The only thing that I had a wee bit of a problem with, well two problems really, was that I had a shadow who followed me most places...and the other was taht I didn't get to see a whole lot of Wilma.
I was also a little perturbed about a few things along the way as well, but this too shall pass. The great thing about is, that I only see some of these people once a year and I am not married to them which is even better, so once is enough.
There is one person there that is really starting to rub me the wrong way. He is a smart ass 24/7 and has really only stupid stories to tell. I never know if he is really serious about topics he talks about...is his home life really that bad that he has to cover as a smart ass all the time? Im not sure, but the less I ran into him over the weekend the happier I was.
Peanut and I did manage to smooze a few wee drinkies out of 4 hockey players while in the hot tub and was quite happy when it was time to get out.
All in all though, it was a fab weekend and this December its going to be Christmas at my house with Peanut and Wilma...I can't wait!

Yay! A new season of one of my favourite reality tv shows are back on again....yup....Survivor!!
Yes, I am one of thossssse people. I also really, really enjoy and laugh the hell out of myself over Wipeout.
Wipeout makes me cry, I laugh so hard. The big red bouncy balls do it for me every time.

Getting closer
It echos in the apartment now.
As I was unpacking the kitchenware in Buster's place, our place, I ran across many things that I have missed. When I was in the apartment, I never did any baking or real great cooking. I just did the basics. Kraft dinner and sausages and so forth. No roasts, or not many that's for sure. I ran across my cheese cake forms, my muffin tins, my pan that I use only for roasting garlic in.
In my mind it brought back all these great smells that were a comfort to me years ago. I am hoping that I can find them again in the real kitchen. Not just in my mind anymore.
All the comfort smells that grama made in the kitchen, like home made chocolate cake with chocolate mint icing. Auntie Tyna's Chocolate Cookies, my Mom's roasted chicken with stuffing, potatoes and sour cream gravy. My turtle cake with choclate gnache. The great barb-q season!
It's going to be a new start with Buster, one that I am looking forward to. He is kind, funny, considerate (well, most of the time)! He makes me laugh. For once in a long, long, long time I am I am looking forward to what the future brings with the three of us.
It has been the first time in many years since I haven't felt like fleeing, felt like I should just disappear and make sure no one finds me.
I have found my smile again.
I have great friends, a great job and a great partner...and a pretty good family as well.
I think I'll stay for awhile.

Back again....
Mexico was a great vacation. Going with Buster was a great thing to do. We laughed, we cried laughing! and we laughed some more. We decided to go on an Outdoor Adventure up the mountain, that was out first outing. We hopped on a Zodiac boat and sped across for about 45 minutes to the other side of the bay and then went on a truck up the mountain to our designated spot.
We mounted up on Mules and headed up the mountain. My Mules name was Charro and was a little sorrel long ear sweetheart. I had one of the guides behind me always "hitting my ass" to make him go faster and I was forever telling him to stop!, that my ass started to hurt! Once we packed up the mountain we dismounted and was given a quick do's and dont's of ziplining and repelling down a mountain....ahh haaa. Thank you for that.
The Zip lining was fabulous and would do it again in a second. The "walking" down the face of a massive amount of rock made my skin crawl. I won't be rock climbing too soon!
Once we got down from the rock we zip lined some more and when we got closer to the bottom we hiked to the cabin to change our clothes, have a beer and some nachos and salsa. Oh, did I mention we zip lined right into a pool of water...yup!~ Soaked and the water was not warm! What wasn't pointy or shirivelled before was when you hit the water!!!
During the evenings we would have a drink with some really great people. Most from B.C. and Saskatchewan, a handful from Alberta and the same with the Quebecers. All that we at that resort were Canadians. It was nice.
One of the girls (Blanche) just came back from a weightloss bootcamp. In 12 weeks she lost 25 pounds. The other box office guru (Berline) and I decided we should join too. Blanche said not to join that she would start us off. So next Monday we start. Weigh in is at Blanche's house and bootcamp starts.
Its time to get my nose to the grindstone. There was no point in starting a diet before vacation, but I am pleased to say with the exercise and food they served in Mexico, I came back losing 3 pounds!

Weekend in Vegas
Well, I just got back from Vegas with Wilma and Bruno. Once again it was a fab trip!
We met so many people this time. Some knotheads. Some genuine, sweet people.
The knotheads were from Canada and Austrailia. I was actually embarrassed that these asses were from Canada, however they were not from Saskatchewan and we are all nice here!
There were some fine folks that we met from Ontario, who found beer and clam in a can! Yay! Good on them. It was very hard to find Clamato. Bloody Marys are too thick and you can not pour tomato juice in beer....speaking of.....we went to a little martini bar, well actually it wasnt little but where we sat, it was quaint and Bartender Corrin was fabulous. What a nice lady.
There was also our cab driver Wally who was also just as great. We had music blaring and he too was singing along with us to Lady Gaga! When he picked us up for the ride back to the hotel, it was Thriller that was coming out of his stereo!!
The room was nice and the company was lovely! We giggled and guffawed til the wee hours in the morning....well, except for Friday....we ordered room service for supper and watched Star Trek movies....it was nice.
The shopping was superb, there were so many deals...I had a tough time keeping my hands in my pockets. The place I was hoping to get to was Victoria Secret and was about to give up hope when we stumbled on to it on our way to the Martini Bar. I did get some treats from there but the best deal I got was from Ann Taylor. I just love the clothes from there. They are girlie and the colours are so rich.
I am looking forward to another little excursion with Wilma and Bruno....always smiles and laughs.

On the Phone
I was trying to log in to the new banking system at my bank on line, and was getting very frustrated because I could not get my password to log in.
Now, really whats the point in getting mad, its your own stupidity that you can't remember a simple password! I mean we have passwords for everything and I normally use just one for all, but there is that one log in that you need to use a number with your normal password and that my friends is where I get stumped.
Just having to remember which number goes with which site! Its crazy....so, I call my 1 -800 banker and he laughed at me! I phoned, said hello, the usual weather chit chat and then I told him the new site sucked and he laughed! Course, I laughed too, but the bubbly man got me through my little tantrum, told me I was a rare customer who didn't verbally abuse him and was told I made his day....and he made mine too!
Moral of the story, a little kindness with a dose of laughter goes a long way! Laughter truly is the best medicine!

1/2 mile high club
Last night was once again a school Christmas concert. All learning lessons and all different from the one previous.
Once I got home though, I turned on the boob tube and promptly dialed Buster to "check in". Of course I woke him up and wondered once I hung up if he would remember the conversation, and how many times could I get away with talking to him during sleep if I could ask for anything I wanted in the future....this morning he remembered talking to me so there goes that out the window! No sparkly trinkets for me!
After I hung up from Buster, I turned on the computer and headed over to facebook. I discovered that Wilma was on, so she then called me and we drooled together over the hotel room...scratch that...suite, a-hem a 750 square foot suite that we are staying in when we jet to Las Vegas!
I think we will be joining the 1/2 mile high club when we get there.
We giggled and exchanged stories, ok, gossip and are ready for the trip.
Hmmmm, I wonder what kind of trouble we will all get into when we are there?

In awe.
I am absolutely flippin' wild!
Apparently, I am the cause of the two women fighting... according to the one boyfriend. This is the boyfriend who's only ever done anything once but a know-it-all about it when that particular task it done.
I had a good chat with Stifler's Mom and we are cool and has sorted out just where the problem lies. Our allegiance to each other will always be there, its the third party that was causing problems.
That's it, I wash my hands of it all.
Hmmmm....If I had just listened to the warning card!

Updates...
SO the Christmas Party came and went. Yes, I was doing the dishes and yes, I looked fab....as always! Thanks BHE!!
The really weird thing and I am not sure why but am just running with it here....Legs and I showed up and sat with a couple of ladies....who shows up and plunks down next to us but the TWO PEOPLE I HATE!!! AAARRRGGHHH (I've been saying that alot lately!).
I could NOT believe it! I thought Legs was gonna tie into someone, but he was good and gracious, as was I.
That was the start of the Christmas Party.
Supper was deeelish!
Presents were cool. I came home with a Saskatchewan Roughrider license plate...not sure about that one since I am in love with the B.C. Lions....maybe its a sign (no pun intended) haha
A screw driver set and a juicer!
Then....I did the dishes.
